Spring Break Day 1

This is the official start to my week off from school. It actually started yesterday but I volunteered at the college for 5 hours at a career fair for high school students. Boy did I giggle a lot! It really reminded me of my youth. I along with another classmate manned the nursing lab door to entice kids to come in. We had a lot to offer inside from injecting an orange to hearing your heartbeat but the biggest draws were the pregnant belly and the lumpy breasts.

This morning Hadley requested strawberry pancakes and so her request was satisfied. I am gonna try to be the mommy genie this week... we will see how that goes. I just want to spoil these gals a little since I will have some extra time.

Also today is a very big day for someone we love very much, it is Nevaeh's 5th birthday! Five years ago Nevaeh was born and I remember the day like yesterday. I am beginning to sound old. She was a tiny thing and still is today, very skinny but tall with beautiful thick blond hair and a timid smile. She has really grown up this past year, she attended pre-school and still goes to headstart. She is enjoying her little brother and just recently they became roommates. The last time I was over there I realized that she really is getting old so I picked her up and gave her a big hug, I kissed her cheek and told her she was still a little girl that I loved so very much. She hugged me back and her face lite up with happiness and after she was cuddling with me all night. I like to remind her that she can still be little sometimes. They grow up way too fast!

  1. Sounds like a yummy breakfast!!! I've never done strawberry pancakes. Will there be a birthday party for Miss Nevaeh? Oh, and will you be around Isle next week? We will be visiting Dad Tue., Wed., and Thurs....maybe I can leave the kids with the guys and come visit...or I could bring the kids too. :-) Hopefully we can make something work. Miss you.
