Long Week!

So this has been the longest week of my life in a while!
It all started last Saturday:

I scheduled a pedicure, the weather was horrible and Robert needed the car. I had to drive the suburban to Nevaeh's birthday and on top of it all I was stressed about the baby's arrival so I caught at cold. At Nevaeh's party I just didn't feel that good, Hadley had fun though.

Sunday - We worked all day on the house. Robert and my dad hooked up the washer/dryer and my Mom and I cleaned. We cleaned where the w/d was and then my Mom deep cleaned the upstairs bathroom. I still was feeling crappy so I cleaned slowly. Hadley was a great little girl, she napped well and we all had a steak dinner for supper. We grilled and made loaded baked potatoes. I was craving that. The sun was shining!

Monday - Felt horrible. My cold decided that it was going to go into full force. I worked all day with chills and hot flashes. I had to train some people on my job since it was my last day before maternity leave. That night after work I just went to bed. My mom kept Hadley later and Robert made dinner. It was an okay night. I rested.

Tuesday - I had the day off. Hadley went to my mom's for her nap and I ran errands. I felt a little better, but after errands I needed a nap. However, I couldn't fall asleep so I got up and made chicken wildrice soup for dinner. It was yummy. That night my parents came over to bring the bassinet and swing. Michelle came up to watch Hadley. It was a late night. I didn't get to bed until 11pm. But, slept surprising well considering baby was coming Wednesday.

Wednesday, Mar. 16th - So the official induction day was here. Robert and I got up at 4am. Had some breakfast and hit the road. I was already nervous and very emotional as I had to say goodbye to Hadley. I am not sure why but I cried knowing she wasn't my only little baby anymore. However, I was excited to meet our new little one. So the ride was great. Robert and I just made small talk. We made it to St. Joe's Hospital at 6am as planned. Checked in and started pitocin. The drug worked to help get the baby down but I didn't dilate anymore since arrival. We ended up going home. It was a bummer and very emotional. The doctor didn't break my water so that was why it was an option to go home. Of course we wanted to be done that day and most of all Robert and I really want to have the opportunity to try and have a vaginal birth. So we were okay with leaving just sad. It is funny because the reason we really want a vaginal birth is less recovery time. We both know that scheduling a c-section is a done deal but the extra time is the drag. I know if a c-section didn't involve that recovery time... we would have a baby by now. We went out for dinner and then came home to a very loving toddler! She was a sight for sore eyes. That night I went to bed and slept wonderful!

Thursday - We went to the pool and walked outside a bit. It was very nice out.
Friday - I had to work, that was hard!
Saturday - Today.... I have to show a house to Carl. Then we are playing with Nevaeh. Robert had to go to IDS to work for my dad. No major plans... hopefully walk outside. Maybe baby will come - who knows! I guess it is a full moon.
