Whew... The Happy Heiny's have a lot to update. Week 2 recap!
Sunday, Jan. 9th - Happy 25 Months to Hadley! Already one month flew by after turning two. With many new toys to play with from your birthday and Christmas you have been busy. I never thought you would have loved Play Doh as much as you do. You got a molding mania set with tons of cutters and you play with it every day. After the New Year I decided to slow down on the juice a bit and it has helped your digestive system. However, this week your poo was a little soft again because of all the draining due to a cold. As a 25 month old you are very happy. You can communicate really well by asking for what you want or even by answering questions about your day. Here is an example:
Setting the scene: Hadley walks into the bathroom with all her baby accessories packed and ready to go hanging off her shoulder.
Mommy: Where are you going?
Hadley: Shopping
Mommy: What store?
Hadley: Cities
Mommy: Cities? What are you going to buy?
Hadley: M&M's
Mommy: You don't have to go all the way to the Cities for M&M's
Such a funny little girl. Milestones: You sleep in your twin bed on the floor. You get up every night and crawl in bed with Mommy and Daddy. Lately that is around 3am. But the last two nights it has been 6am. You love Dora and Curious George and love to take pictures. And, you love going to church.
Monday, Jan. 10th - Nothing too exciting! I had to work at the Messenger and Daddy started the week knowing he was working 12 hour days.
Tuesday, Jan. 11th - We went to Cambridge in the morning with Grandma to go shopping. Hadley is getting better at shopping again. We went to Kohls, had lunch at Applebee's and then picked up supplies at Walmart. After we got home I had to do some Real Estate and Grandma said Hadley played with her new outfits from Kohls. Showing each doll and she even had to show Uncle Chad. Plus, you got a new piggy bank that oinks when you put money in it. Now you are always wanting something to put in it to hear the piggy talk.
Wednesday, Jan. 12th - Work as usual but then we got to go to church for Faith In Action. Hadley LOVES Church! It was a quiet night, a few kids didn't come so it was an easy night for Mommy too!
Thursday, Jan. 13th - I had an appointment with Dr. LeLand OB/Gyn regarding a VBAC. Or another way to say it is a trial of labor. I want to try to have this little pea the normal way but since I had a C/S I have to have the baby at a bigger hospital with an OR staff on staff. Anyway, he was supportive of VBAC and pointed out the positives and negatives. He said it was my choice and that he supports a C/S or VBAC. He said it was more of a mental decision then a medical decision. I guess I can see that. I have to be okay with trying and failing again. Well not that I think having a C/S is failing. I am actually okay with the idea but I hate the recovery so that is why I want to attempt the trial of labor to see if I can avoid the recovery. If things just aren't working, I will say... okay let's just go into C/S. I think I will be induced so the day is controlled and I am okay with this but some websites say that induction leads to a higher rate of C/S. So who knows. I know that each birth is different and that each baby is different. My body will be different and the weather will be different that day. I am not ready to throw in the towel yet. I think my body can do it, so I am going to TRY!
See fighting sleep post for more on this day.
Friday, Jan. 14th - Another typical day. I had to work at the Messenger and Daddy worked at NPP. The last of his 12 hour days for the week. They are super busy there. We are happy Daddy made it through the week. He went to bed early and that helped. It also helped that Hadley didn't crawl into bed until he was up getting ready or after he left. That way he got good sleep too. He has to get up at 3:15am to be to work at 4am. So we do feel for him because that is just way too early to get up. Hadley had a short nap today and was a little fussy but not too bad. She played well throughout the night and we watched a little Dora before bed. Then we went to bed at 9pm and she fell asleep right away and slept in her bed until 6am. Then she crawled in with me and we got up at 8am.
Saturday, Jan. 15th - Today we have some plans. But first we are doing nothing. My back hurts a lot more then normal and I am hoping to schedule a PT appointment and some massages in the coming weeks. It is my SI joint and that is leading to my Sciatic nerve as well. So basically it feels like sharp pain on my lower right side and then numbness through my right butt cheek. Tylenol doesn't seem to help when it gets this bad and really all I can do is ignore it. But it was all I could feel while laying in bed last night. I slept with a pillow in between by legs and it helped a little and the funny thing was it felt better if I slept on my right side verses the left.
This afternoon we are going to Mora to see my Dad's side of the family. A Roger's Potluck. Then we have to go to my Uncle John's for his 50th BDay party. Daddy is working until noon. He went in at 5am. The sun is shining and it looks like it is going to be a great day!
